Batch It! is an image processing tool, that allows you to resize and rename your images, add captions and watermarks, drop shadows and more. It can also add image frames, and apply several image effects and convert between PCX,GIF, BMP, JPEG, PNG and TIFF.

Vextractor allows you to transform raster images into vector formats by building centerlines and outlines. It can be used for vectorizing of charts, maps, schemes, logotypes and other similar images. It features recognition of arcs, circles and orthogonal lines as well as polylines smoothing, noise filtering and more. Supported input raster formats are BMP, GIF, TIFF, JPEG, PCX and TGA.

ClickPic adds right-click options to image files in Windows Explorer. Unfortunately the interface is a (failed) attempt to make it more user-friendly, we found it to be confusing and awkward to work with - instead of standard Windows functionality, it offers mostly abstract icons, scattered over multiple dialogs and pages. Despite the poor interface, Deformer is a lot of fun and lets you produce very nice results, without any experience needed.

LunarCell is a Photoshop compatible plugin that allows you to create instant planets. Create fractal, reality-based, or just strange worlds in seconds. It includes real clouds downloaded from weather satellites and comes with dozens of presets, and you can design your own planets too. LunarCell also generates maps for 3D animation, fantasy mapmaking, and QuickTime 5 cubic VR.

Oriens Enhancer is an image enhancement and adjustment package with support for more than 55 image formats and 140+ filters and artistic effects, as well as standard painting tools. You can also pint with patterns, or textures, resize images, optimize them, rotate, crop and more. Oriens Enhancer is mostly a collection of filters and effects, that is somewhat complicated to navigate. It lacks some core functionalities found in most other editors. If you are mostly interested in effects and filters, give it a try as it certainly offers a lot of them, however for an all-around photo editor you should look elsewhere.

For many pictures the default settings require no or little adjustment and advanced users can further customize the effects using the advanced mode interface.
