AccessForms2Web (PHP-MySQL Editon) enables you to convert Microsoft Access forms to interactive PHP based web pages that interact with a mySQL server. The program provides a step-by-step wizard to select the data to be published, and can automatically upload the generated script pages to your web server. The data conversion worked fine, and the program properly converted the forms in our test database, however the design of the HTML pages is very basic, and lacks proper navigation and options to customize the output design. It does the job, but the results are very crude.

BaseNow provides a universal user interface to access almost any database file, format or server, including Access, Fox, SQL Server, Oracle and all other ODBC and OLEDB compatible databases. The program looks like Microsoft Access and it allows you to work with data just like in Excel spreadsheets. BaseNow also provides duplication, data validation, and wizard-driven import/export tools that allow you to exchange data between two different sources and formats. The program is an ideal solution for general purpose and universal database access and management from a single interface regardless of the data source. BaseNow is a swiss-army knife for database administrators.

Oracle Developer Tools provides an easy interface to view information about your Oracle objects, and in some instances allows the creation and maintenance of objects. It also provides a drag and drop interface for building queries to view, add, update, and delete data. All query results are maintained in a data grid.

We found it to be rather difficult to get used to the drag and drop data map design, however a step-by-step tutorial can help you get familiar with the concepts. Overall, a quite powerful and flexible data management tool, but you definitely need to read the documentation and tutorials to get started.

MySQL Studio is an extremely useful package for anyone that is either administering or using MySQL server on a regular basis, since it not only makes day-today routine jobs a lot easier, but also provides an overall much easier way to manage advanced MySQL functionality.
